I Have A Friend Who Has ALS. She Lives In

I have a friend who has ALS. She lives in another state but her sister doesn't understand why her sister is not allowing her to help. My friend's sons are threatening her about doing her physical therapy and if she doesn't do it they will put her in a nursing home. Does this affect the way you react to things and people / attidude. Like the way Alzheimer does? Thank you for your time.
