Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a friend who has been taking Lorazepam 2mg for over 3 years and her doctor suddenly changed her prescription to 1 mg with no explanation. My friend takes several other medications because of the various problems she has . She has spinal stenosis, fibromialgia, naroowing of the spine a plate in her neck and advanced degerative disk. She knows what pain is and takes these other medications to releive that pain. When she is ready to go to sleep for the night she relies on the 2mg pill to get the sleep she needs. She has been unable to sleep with the 1 mg pill. What else would give her what she needs? We will be seeing her doctor tomorrow to discuss why she has done this to her after more than three years on this medication, as her sleep is the most important concern right now.
