I Have A Friend Who Has Puss Pockets In His

I have a friend who has puss pockets in his nose. It causes painful irritation most of the time. He also has swollen legs, ankles and feet with discoloration. I think its Leg oedema, but a rash or blisters popped up recently. He refuses to see a doctor. What can he do at home?
