I Have A Friend Who Is Currently Suffering From A

I have a friend who is currently suffering from a "dresspion episode" and I wanted to know what is the best way to aid that person? I have been trying to simply trying to get this person to do some activities but they don't want to. I have tried to have conversations about the subject and the person just shuts me out. I don't know what else I can do.
