I Have A Friend Who Recently Had 2 Veins Removed

I have a friend who recently had 2 veins removed from her left leg and grafted into her right leg. After removing the 95 staple, she began to have some expected oozing but one area about 2 inches broke open. The incision near her groin stays constantly red and a little weepy. No drainage noted.
What would be the best course to keep the wound as dry as possible as well as to or omote the healing process.
