Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a frozen pelvis without an no history of endometriosis. All biopsies negative for endometrial material! I had surgery 3 times three for the Dermoid cysts ( a total of 5, some were inside another etc). The pain started in 2001 After two surges to remove the dermoids and the large Fibroid from my uterus. Three months later another surgery to clean up the mess made by the fluids in the dermoids and remove scar tissue already advancing after only three months. I finally had surgery to remove all the adhesions in 2009 and the only did it because I had developed an infection and was sporting high fevers & vomiting that resisting treatment. It only took 2 years to find a surgery group in Vancouver who agreed to do a hysterectomy and adhesions removal, despite the fact I was told , I did not have a frozen pelvis and to go home and work parttime only. My question is that the, I have pain in both the pelvic region but now the abdomen to my sternum. I'm taking pain med under medical supervision and two are very ineffective in pain control. Is there help for someone like me? I also have 2 very arthritic knees that have also added to my pain. No one wants to operate on me due to the poor surgery outcome which will bring me more pain and suffering. Where do I go for a knowing Dr. To help treat the life alternating illness. My husband and I were very close and enjoyed our sex life, however it has been awhile since we had intcourse because the pain from the act continues.over the next three or four years. Is their help.?
