I Have A Granddaughter That Has Pinworms. She Was At

I have a granddaughter that has pinworms. she was at the pediatrician today and they prescribed Ivermectin. However my daughter in law just called me and my grand daughter is freaking out and crying. I am sure it is from the itching and effects of the medicine. Is there anything else we can give her or do to calm her down and help her sleep?
