I Have A Hard Lump On The Top Left Hand

I have a hard lump on the top left hand side of my head. It is not red or itchy, but is sore to touch. It has grown in size quite a lot over the past three weeks and is now quite large. About an inch round and half an inch high. Any ideas on whether its just a cyst or should it be looked at.
