I Have A Head Cold My Sinuses Are Acting Up.

I have a head cold my sinuses are acting up. I blew my nose this morning and it looked like a piece of skin came out about the size of a nickel. Ithurt a little when it came out but no blood and that side of my nose has been clear all day. What is it? Is it anything to worry about?
