I Have A Kidney Stone Which Is Of Large Size.

I have a kidney stone which is of large size. They blasted it but in became side ways. I have had infection for at least 3 weeks or more now and receving IV on a daily basis to clear infection. How long does this usually take and then the specialist said surgery in February - 2 different times - a week apart. Does this make any sense?
