I Have A Knot Located About 3 Inches From Where

I have a knot located about 3 inches from where my left leg connects to my body. The knot doesn't hurt but i do have pain down the inner thigh and above the knee. I had an ultrasound today and Doctor said its a tumor common in men usually found in the love handle area but I can't remember what term for the tumor he used. Can you help with medical terms used for tumors found in this area??
