I Have A Knot On My Left Forehead Above My

I have a knot on my left forehead above my eyebrow under the skin it was caused about 6 years ago when I was hit with the butt of a gun and I wonder why won't it go away and it hurts from time to time and I wonder has it turned into cancer or something. I just can't understand why it would still hurt every blue moon
