I Have A Known Bakers Cyst Behind The Left Knee

I have a known bakers cyst behind the left knee which has always been a symptomatic. However lately I have been experiencing pins and needles in my foot and toes and today the posterior knee very uncomfortable in sitting position (like sitting in church) . When I tried to look at my knee, I found what is likely an increased cyst protruding. Will compression stockings help?
I have been unemployed and do not get as much physical activity over the last 4 months as I typically would.
