I Have A Lab Result Of An Ecoli - Epec

I have a lab result of an ecoli - epec detected infection. No cramping, blood, fever, nausea etc.. Some normal stools then sometimes liquid. My doctor left a voice message that said he had lab results and I should be feeling better soon but left town without any further instructions. He suggested Imodium before he had the results. I had to call his office for actual results and they said ecoli. I stopped taking Imodium after doing some research. Another Dr in his practice said he would prescribe antibiotics. I think this stemmed from antibiotics prescribed after gum surgery as a precaution and I am very Leary of more antibiotics. Looking more for a holistic natural treatment.
