I have a large swelling on the front of my leg, just below the knee. I was given an ultra sound because I have a history of DVT. It confirmed a DVT but was told there is also a Baker’s Cyst. I have a large, swollen area in the front of the leg below the knee and was told it was a Baker’s Cyst. All the research I have done says these cysts occur on the back of the leg. Now I am concerned about what this actually is - it is roughly a 4” area, fairly hard and my leg is extremely painful if I try to put any weight on this area, such as getting into bed, getting out of a chair., etc. now I am concerned if this could be something other than a Baker’s that could be more serious?
