I Have A Large Tear On The Medial Side Of

I have a large tear on the medial side of my meniscus and the tear has flipped internally. My supervisor will not allow me off work for another month due to two of 3 staff members being on vacation when I would have to be off to recover from surgery. What can/should I do in the meantime until surgery? What are the risks of waiting another month?
