I Have A Large Veracious Vein On The Inside Of

I have a large veracious vein on the inside of leg, below the knee area... after returning home, from a 2 day driving vacation, it has developed a red spot in that area, is sore and warm to the touch, is this concern? i believe it is on a superficial vein thank you
