I Have A Loss Of Taste (food) Since Being In

I have a loss of taste (food) since being in the hospital and treated with Lasik for leg edema a year ago this month. I lost so much water that the lab said that my sodium level had dropped too low and Lasik was stopped. Upon returning to my home the next day I found that I was unable to taste food. It has created a loss of weight. I can taste taste broccali and beer. Other foods are tasteless. I can smell, which is hard because I smell food but cannot taste it. I have a perpetual heavy taste of salt in my mouth..
