I Have A Lump Inside My Lower Lip. It's Not

I have a lump inside my lower lip. It's not painful. It also feels like the veins (not sure if they're actually veins) connected to the lump are swollen. I just noticed this morning a small red cut on my lip, it may be from the weather and chapped lips but I'm not sure. I'm thinking this is a mucocele, but how do I know its not cancer?
