I Have A Lump On My Shin Bone. I Cant

I have a lump on my shin bone. I cant remember how long it has been there but it is awhile. It is evadent to see close up and with doing little research i am worried it could be serious. I am a very fit person and i cant squat without pain in that area. Any ideas? Many thanks
