I Have A Major Burning Sensation The Is Isolated To

I have a major burning sensation the is isolated to one specific area of my right foot on the outer side. Pain comes and goes and is aggravated if i rest my foot on that side or if i walk to much. I did talk to my Dr. about it, but he misunderstood me and said it was a sprained ankle. My ankle if just fine. But after being at his office for over 4 hours i just wanted to go home and i have been trying to figure out what it could be.
