I Have A Mark That Appeared On My Lower Back

I have a mark that appeared on my lower back some time last year. It's shaped like a butterfly. It almost looks like how your skin looks when its healing after you've been popped by grease while cooking and is in the dark phase. Is there a reason this butterfly my have appeared on my back?
