I Have A Mass Growing In My Left Breast.... Fast.

I have a mass growing in my left breast.... Fast. I first noticed it about a week ago and I think it's maybe doubled in size. It's probably bigger than a golf ball now and it causes me pain when touched but also kinda tingles all the time. I did go to the doctor and have a mammogram scheduled in 6days. My question is can cancer grow that fast.? Also if this lump gets any larger in the next couple of days should I go sooner?
I'm trying to be optimistic because I have several benign tumors on my body they run in my family but I'm a little worried.
