I Have A Mild Depression Fracture Of The Tibial Plateau,

I have a mild depression fracture of the tibial plateau, outer part of right leg. I went to an orthopedic clinic, nurse practitioner said no need for brace, cast, just keep weight off of the leg, use crutches. Said I could drive. I broke it on 3/14/16. I go back in 3 weeks for a checkup. I am wondering how long you think I need to be on crutches, it's difficult using them.
