I Have A Non-displaced Tibial Plateau Fracture That Was Not

I have a non-displaced tibial plateau fracture that was not diagnosed until 4-5 weeks after the injury and I was walking on it using crutches. I live in a two story house and have not mastered getting up the stairs without putting light weight on it-will that cause further harm? I come down the stairs ok but can't go up without light pressure on it. My bathroom is up two steps when I'm downstairs as well.
