I Have A Pain In My Centre Chest & There

I have a pain in my centre chest & there is a lump sticking out where my sternum is. It is extremely uncomfortable & I am concerned that this is something serious. I recently quit smoking after 26 years and am concerned that it may be related to this? Can you help?
