I Have A Pain In My Left Thigh Right Above

I have a pain in my left thigh right above my knee on the outside that started approximately 2 hours ago. The pain is increasingly getting worse. Does not matter if I sit, stand or walk. I have not bumped it or anything. I do sit at a desk for my job. I do smoke. I am 58. Female.
