I Have A Pain That Starts At My Right Mid

I have a pain that starts at my right mid thigh and goes down the outside of my leg it is worse when lying on either side at bedtime and once and a while feel some numbness and knee collapses not so much to make me fall but knee gives way. I have spinal stenosis and have had a lamenectomyb14 years ago is it related?
