I Have A Painful Lump On The Back Of My

I have a painful lump on the back of my calf with unusual bruising. I was not injured. I'm afraid I may have a leaky vein. Yes, I know self-diagnosis is foolish. My MD sent me for an ultrasound to look for DVT. There was none so she has me taking 800mg of ibuprofen and rubbing on a gel to reduce inflammation. Should I rush to a vein specialist?
