I Have A Pair Of Earrings That I Absolutely Love.

I have a pair of earrings that I absolutely love. They are circle studs. I vacationed for two weeks to the beach and got home a few days ago. I just took out my earrings for the first time in a LONG time and was surprised to see a fungus looking grey scab where my earring had previously been. It did not hurt until I took the earring out and then after touching it, the possible infection started to bleed. I don't know what this is or how serious it is, but I need help because it hurts very badly.
