I Have A Pea Sized Ball Just Inside Rectum Underneath

I have a pea sized ball just inside rectum underneath the skin. I can feel it with my finger when I insert my finger into my anus. It is located beside a hemmoroid. I have hemmoroids due to severe irritable bowel syndrome. Dr said today it was a hemmoroid but it can't be seen from the outside. It has to be felt which the Dr didn't do so how would she know it's a hemmoroid?
