I Have A Prescription For Cipro HCL For UTI And

I have a prescription for Cipro HCL for UTI and am very concerned with what I am reading about the ramifications of taking it. Especially with muscles injury, tendons, heart, etc. plus permanent injury. I already have tendon issues and my father had a strange beating of his heart (once instead of twice). I have had UTI with blood in 1998, but non since. I am 72 years old in very good health. Is there another antibiotic that could be used that is not a health concern with the health reactions?
