I Have A Problem With Excessive Phlegym In The Throat,

I have a problem with excessive phlegym in the throat, sometimes when eating I cannot swallow-some of the food sticks in the back of the mouth and I can regurgitate it up. My MD has diagnosed GERD but, gave me nothing for it... It's getting tiring coughing up this post nasal drip even taking allergy mediciation. Always thirsty, and as I said: when eating, there is a tickle in my throat (and sometimes not when eating) and I can hardly talk... What do you recommend?
