I Have A Problem With My Skin. I Have Had

I have a problem with my skin. I have had it for a couple of years now, it didn't bother me as it is not painful but I have become concerned since I have noticed the same symptoms with my daughter, she is 8 now..... If somebody hits me, I would feel a warm burning sensation on that specific spot, a few seconds later the area would swell up and the actual silohuete of the persons hand could be seen....... Its not painful and after a few minutes the swelling would dissapear...... This also happens if I scratch myself..... Is this something I should worry about?
