I Have A Problem With The Skin On My Arms.

I have a problem with the skin on my arms. It is so thin that it bruises easily and I just bump into something and it will start bleeding. I am an older person and I know that it to be expected, but was wondering if there is anything over the counter I can use, or do I need to ask my family doctor? Thank you!
