I Have A Question About A Prolonged Period. I Had

I have a question about a prolonged period. I had my second child on January 7th of this year. Had my postpartum checkup in February and pap smear came back normal. My first period postpartum came the last week of April. I had a normal period in April and May. Had a missed period in June. Was not pregnant. Period returned in July and August and was normal. Did not have a period September or October. And again was not pregnant. On November 18th I started spotting for about two days. It stopped for one day and then my period finally started and has not stopped. It is now December 7th and I am still having bright red blood but have had no cramps and feel fine. Is this normal since I missed several periods before it started? I have never had irregular periods until after I had my second child.
