I Have A Question About Patients With Bipolar Disorder In

I have a question about patients with bipolar disorder in the mid level or part two. it appears after every two years to him. Before he didn't take medicine regularly, he told that he didn't fell better after taking medicine so he wouldn't take this and it was impossible to enforce him for the treatment. But when it happens this year again after two years he is taking treatment due to the family members and also he is better now . if we can continue treatment under doctor's supervision is it possible that he would be able to control bipolar. We read article on line that bipolar becomes worse or progressive with age but if he takes medicine under doctor's prescription, is it possible to control the progression of bipolar.
