I Have A Really Bad Cough, Deep Cough Which I

I have a really bad cough, deep cough which i even gag sometimes, it just started last week. It doesn't feel like a cold coming on. Just curious if stress can cause something like this or not? dry cough what can I do, it seems like I get this every year at least once.
