I Have A Red Bump Thought Was A Boil Its

I have a red bump thought was a boil its very painful it doesn't come to a head to drain it will look like it has dead skin on top which can be peeled off then it will turn purple and e entually will go away. After I treat with antibiotic I tent for several days. What is this
