I Have A Rough Spot That Starts On The Soft

I have a rough spot that starts on the soft part below my tongue and stops below my front teeth. It does not hurt at all, it just feels weird. I have had this for just over a week. I have a canker sore on the bottom of my tongue but I do not know if it is linked or not. When the rough feeling first started it felt like the skin below my tongue was peeling. That has since passed.
