I Have A Ruptured Tympanic Membrane And I've Been Prescribed

I have a ruptured tympanic membrane and I've been prescribed ciprodex. My question is it normal for it not to take effect after almost 3 days? I had partial hearing loss before using and now I have no hearing and a stuffed sensation. As well as little to no pain before and a good substantial amount of pain after usage.
