I Have A Scar A Little Above The Belly Button

I have a scar a little above the belly button from when I had a fatty (benign) tumor removed as a baby. I have gained weight over the years and approaching menopausal age but to me, it looks like the scar is higher up than it used to be. Does that make sense? What could cause that?
