I Have A Sharp Pain On The Upper Left Side

I have a sharp pain on the upper left side of my chest almost feels it's between the upper ribs. I don't think this is chest pain, it is not in my chest to the left of it. It strikes and goes away, but when it strikes and it is often it is very painful.
