I Have A Slight Circular Bruise On My Arm, Aprox

I have a slight circular bruise on my arm, aprox one inch in diameter. I don't remember hitting my arm on anything. There is slight swelling, and I have applied both ice and heat, neither have shown changes to it. Do you have any idea to what this is? And how to treat it.
