I Have A Small Lump On The Inside Of My

I have a small lump on the inside of my upper lip. Should I be concerned? I have a younger sister that had a small lump under her tongue for years. Several years ago it was diagnosed as adnoid cystic carcinoma. It was removed and she under went nutron radiation. So far so good for her. She advised me to not chance it and have it removed!
