I Have A Small Pea-sized Lump In The Front Of

I have a small pea-sized lump in the front of my knee. It is located to the right but still close to my knee cap. It can be felt under the skin, and when moving the knee a certain way it sticks out even further. Feeling this lump its hard like bone or cartilage. This lump is moveable under the skin. It causes pain in that area, and in a lower area in my knee. Pain is present when pressed upon the lump. My knee swells when used a lot or swells just under the knee cap. My knee cap tingles from time to time and the pain is slowly getting worse. The last known accident was five months ago when i slipped on some rocks causing my knee to bruise. The lump was noticed three months ago and slowly became more noticeable.
