I Have A Small Smooth Red Patch On My Tongue.

I have a small smooth red patch on my tongue. It's is on the right hand side towards the front just forward of the middle. It appeared out of the blue. If I remember correctly it was a small white thing to start with and then that disappeared and it became the small red patch. I have had it for a few weeks I think.
