I Have A Sore Tender Pain In The Sole Of

I have a sore tender pain in the sole of my foot, it feels like a scold and has bothered me in the past for short periods of time ( couple of hours). This time its the third day and its gradually getting worse. I cant walk in it and if i do its as though im walking with no skin covering the flesh of my foot.
Its more red in appearance to the other foot and seems swolen... Any notion what this could be and how i make it stop!
