I Have A Spinal Fluid Leak Following Posterior Surgery For

I have a spinal fluid leak following posterior surgery for a ruptured disc. ( c6-c7) I have a pocket on spinal fluid build up, very visible. not getting headaches, unless I lay directly on it. just discomfort at site. My surgeon says not critical to fix it immediately, but I will know when I'm ready. Is this dangerous, should I get it repaired ASAP, or get secong opinion.
