I Have A Throat Infection For A Week Now (ever

I have a throat infection for a week now (ever since I replenished distilled water in the inverter battery in the house). I have been doing warm salt water gorgling morning and night, as well as listerine mouth-wash after brushing (morning and night). Yet the throat soreness is still there. Do I need to take any anti-biotic? I have no fever, body-aches and cold.
